Russia rejects media coverage on Syria’s East Ghouta as ‘mass psychosis’

NEW YORK CITY, The United States of America – Russia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vassily Nebenzya called recent media reports on the situation in Syria’s Eastern Ghouta as ‘mass psychosis’, during a United Nationa Security Council (UNSC) meeting in New York on Thursday.

He added that terrorists in the there are using civilians as human shields.

“The Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Warring Parties urged illegal groups to lay down arms and formalise their status, but they disrupted the talks yesterday, on February 21,” Nebenzya said.

The latest UNSC draft resolution produced by Sweden and Kuwait proposed a 30-day ceasefire across Syria.
