AFRIN, Syria – Turkish-backed Syrian proxy forces have been videoed beating a Kurdish man inside a vehicle given to the jihadists by Turkey.
The jihadists are seen taunting the Kurdish man throughout the beating.
Local Turkish military source has stated “We don’t tolerate this behavior. We are going to discipline all forces involved in this incident because they are breaking protocols.”
It remains to be seen if they were be punished or not.
This comes as Turkish-led forces have attempted to invade the northwest Syrian canton of Afrin. The operation dubbed “Olive Branch” was launched on January 20, but the invading forces are yet to make any significant advancement against the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) that Turkey recognizes as a terrorist organization.
