AFRIN, Turkey – Turkish-backed Free Syrian Army fighters have posed with the body of a dead female Kurdish Women’s Protection Units (YPJ) fighter in Syria’s northwest Afrin canton.
The Turkish backed militants then stripped and mutilated her body by removing her breasts. She was identified as Barin Kobane.

The video has emerged as Turkey launched on January 20 the “Olive Branch Operation” to remove the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) from the border region between Syria and Turkey.
The YPJ are the female branch of the YPG, who in turn fall under the Turkey-based Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) umbrella.
Turkey recognizes the PKK as a terrorist organization which gives their justification for intervening directly in Syria.
