MANBIJ, Syria – The US-Turkey counterpoint to the city of Manbij in northern Syria seems to be coming to the end. It is reported that US AH-64D aggressive helicopters begin tomorrow patrols on the Turkish-Syrian border to detect any Turkish troop movements to the city and prevent or discourage possible attack.
As announced, any promotion of the Turkish troops to the Syrian city of Manbij held by the Kurds and the US Army will be tackled by the US through arms.
In fact, the involvement of air carriers is about discouraging Turkish forces from heading to Manbij, as well as Turkish Islamist organizations operating under Ankara’s command.
The decision to launch air patrols was preceded by a US warning in the direction that the US military forces in the city would not leave.
The US announcement was a response to the incredible statement by Recep Tayyip Erdogan about the impending move of the Turkish forces in Manbij, saying “When the lions come the jackals leave”!
