EAST GHOUTA, Syria – The Syrian Army led by the elite 4th Mechanized Units and the Republican Guards have continued advancing against terrorist forces in East Ghouta to the east of Damascus city center.
The elite forces have concentrated their advance on terrorist positions on the Jisrin and Aftaris axes where it is expected they will soon capitulate.
As a result of this powerful attack, terrorists have begun withdrawing from Aftaris before it is completely besieged.
This also comes as terrorist organizations have finally begun discussions with the Syrian government to withdraw from the East Ghouta region and to be relocated, most likely to jihadist-held Idlib in northwest Syria or to Dara’a in southern Syria. Further details of this can be read here.
