AFRIN, Syria –
The Turkish General Staff claimed on Wednesday that the so-called Olive Branch coalition of the Turkish military and their Syrian proxies have ‘neutralized’ nearly 3,000 fighters from the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) and ISIS.
Turkey continually states that it also fighting ISIS in Afrin region in the northwest of Syria where it is conducting its operations against the YPG, despite the terrorist organization having no presence there, and rather it is a part of propaganda emanating from Ankara.
According to the General Staff statement, the Turkish Armed Forces and their proxies have neutralized a total of 2,940 fighters since the Olive Branch operation began on January 20.
