DAMASCUS, Syria – A draft copy of the first joint publication between the Syrian and Russian military has been released to show readers what to expect.
The new publication will be available in both Arabic and Russian with the target audience being military personnel for both Syrian and Russian militaries.
However, it will also be freely available to civilians alike.
The launch date for the new publication is not yet known but this also demonstrates the strengthening of ties of Russia and Syria continues.
Russia first intervened in the Syrian War, after being cordially invited by the Syrian government, in September 2015. Their intervention quickly saw the lifting of the siege imposed on Kuweires Airbase, the liberation of Aleppo city, the lifting of the siege on Deir Ezzor, and now the quick liberation of East Ghouta currently taking place.
Because of the success of the Russian intervention, the US continually makes threats against the Eurasian power. This culminated with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov having to warn the consequences of a new US strike on Syria, the possibility of which was stated in the UN Security Council by United States Permanent Representative Nikki Haley, will be very serious. Further details of this warning can be read here.
