PHOTOS: Elite Syrian Army unit liberates East Ghouta village

EAST GHOUTA, Syria – The Syrian Army, led by the elite Republican Guard, liberated the village of Beit Naem from the Jaish al-Islam terrorist organization.

It is expected that with the liberation of Beit Naem in the southern portion of the East Ghouta pocket to the east of Damascus city center, the Republican Guards will now focus their efforts on Al-Mohammadiyah and Ash-Ash’ari.

This was part of the wider East Ghouta offensive that has seen the Syrian Army liberate more than 40% of the pocket in just over a month of fighting.

To prove the liberation of Beir Naem, the Republican Guard’s Facebook page released photos of the operation.
