PHOTOS: Protesters in Holland rename street signs to honor jailed Palestinian teen

AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands – Protesters in the Netherlands have made an action by renaming unoofficially the street names in many cities in honor of a jailed Palestinian teenager.

The protesters renamed streets in 13 cities in the country in honor of Ahed Tamimi.

The 17-year-old Palestinian girl was filmed slapping and kicking two Israeli soldiers outside her home is serving eight months in prison.

Ahed hit the soldiers shortly after hearing Israeli troops had severely wounded her 15-year-old cousin, who was shot in the head with a rubber bullet, and after they illegally entered her house.

One of the name changes for the streets occurred at the entrance of the Israeli embassy in the Hague.
