Pro-Syrian government forces hit by Turkish airstrike near Afrin – VIDEO

AFRIN, Syria – Pro-Syrian government forces were targeted in an air raid by the Turkish Air Force in the town of Kafr Zita, near Afrin, on Saturday.

Thirty-six people are reported to have died in the attack.

The Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) confirmed that there was a Turkish air strike on Syrian militias in the early hours of Saturday but provided no further details.

However, it is known that many of those killed belonged to the National Defense Forces (NDF), an Iranian organized militia comprised entirely of Syrians whose main purpose is to defend towns and sites.
