MOSCOW, Russia – Russian President Vladimir Putin revealed in an interview with the US-based NBC television network that there were no plans to amendment the Constitution of Russia.
“I think I told you yesterday that I have never changed the Constitution,” he said when quizzed whether the presidential term of office in Russia could be changed.
“I have no such plans today as well,” he continued.
This comes as the Russian presidential election is set to begin on March 18. It is expected that he will remain as president after the election process. Putin goes into next weekends election with an approval rating of 83%.
