Russia will not put up with the shelling of Eastern Ghouta by terrirosts indefinitely – this warning was made by president Vladimir Putin after a meeting with Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurtz at a press conference in the Kremlin.
The head of the Russian state underlined that firing on Eastern Ghouta has been constant. On some days the militants inflict from 50 to 80 rocket and mortar strikes. This, he said, is well known in Russia, as shells are falling even on the territory of the Russian embassy and the trade mission in Damascus.
The press conference was broadcast live by the TV channel “Russia 24” .
Vladimir Putin stressed that the situation in Syria is complicated, and the prospects for solving the problems in this country depend on the parties to the conflict, on their internal desire to achieve a settlement, and to preserve the territorial integrity and unity of their country.
At the same time, Putin stressed that the influence of the countries of the region and other world players is very important.
