MOSCOW, Russia – Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani noted that Russia takes part in solving the Arab world’s problems during his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Monday.
Putin noted that trade between the two countries had grown over 2017. “Investment cooperation is developing as well,” he added.
According to Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, “Russia plays a significant role regarding the things that matter for the Arab world.” The Qatari Emir also emphasised that the two countries should strengthen relations across all areas, including trade.
Putin also agreed with this sentiment that trade has excelled and should also grow.
“Over the past year, trade has grown, however, in absolute terms, it can do much better, but the trend is good. Investment cooperation is developing as well,” the Russian president said.
The Qatari Emir then went onto praise Rus
“We count on our Russian friends with whom we cooperate, knowing that Russia plays a significant role regarding the things that matter for the Arab world. You have historical relations with the countries of the Arab world. I hereby note the role that you play in helping to resolve the problems of some of our countries.”
