Russia: New US Missiles on border are dangerous only to birds
Putin and Fomin have been pretty clear this week that the US's new missiles aren't up to par.
The US intends to deploy in its missile defense system more than 400 missiles with the goal of threatening the Russian Federation. But these new weapons are not of military significance, given the new Russian weapons systems, a Russian military-diplomatic source said.
As previously reported, Deputy Defense Minister of Russia Alexander Fomin said that the US plans to deploy a total of 400 missiles as part of its global missile defense system on the borders of Russia.
“More than 400 missiles, which the Americans intend to deploy in its global missile defense system, now, after the submission of new weapons systems by Russia, do not represent any military significance,” the interlocutor said.
As the source noted, now it makes no sense to cover the positional areas and various military groups.
He stated that these anti-missiles can now only do damage to sparrows.

“Although for the bird, it’s a pity”, the interlocutor added.
Earlier, Putin in his message to the Federal Assembly presented the latest types of Russian weapons, which have no analogues in the world. These are the Sarmat missile system, underwater drones, a cruise missile with a nuclear power plant, the Dzhazhin air missile system, laser and hypersonic weapons. The presentation was accompanied by cadres with new techniques and computer models of its work.
