Russian Navy ships readying for rocket fire off the coast of Syria
Moscow. 11th of March. INTERFAX.RU – Russian Navy ships on Monday may launch missiles from the water area of the eastern Mediterranean near the coast of Syria. This follows from the international notification for aviation personnel (NOTAM) and navigational warning for seafarers.

The notification NOTAM, which gives the coordinates of the closed area, refers to the conduct of “test missile launches.”

As follows from the reports, launches from Russian ships may be carried out between 8:00 and 18:00 Moscow time at the sea border of Syria in the international waters of the Mediterranean.

Currently, as part of the permanent operational connection of the Russian Navy in the Mediterranean Sea, there are about 15 warships and ships providing the Black Sea Fleet, including the carrier of Caliber cruise missiles, the Frigate Admiral Grigorovich, which has repeatedly struck at terrorist targets in Syria.
