In St. Petersburg, a fire has broken out in a 23-storey building, on Kolomyazhsky Avenue. Firefighters arrived at about 5:30 pm. 44 firefighters and 9 fire trucks are battling the fire. No information about victims yet.
Earlier, a Hyundai car dealership was ablaze in St Petersburg. According to preliminary data, the flames covered about 500 square meters. More than 100 people were evacuated from the building. Nobody was killed.
The day before, a 12 storey apartment block caught fire in Chechnya. Similarly, nobody was killed. On the same day, a youth center outside of Moscow was ablaze. There too nobody died.
The most deadly fire in Russia’s modern history took place in a shopping center in Kemerovo, two days before.
