Special Representative of the US Department of State for Ukraine, Kurt Volke, has delivered an address at a  Brussels forum. In particular, Volker said that “Russia would not be able to get a pro-Russian government” in Ukraine, because “Moscow has completely lost the new generation of Ukrainians.”

According to Volker, the Russian “annexation of the Crimea” led to the growth of nationalistic sentiments in Ukraine. Young Ukrainians consider Russia an “aggressor and occupier,” so the only way out for Russia is to “withdraw troops from eastern Ukraine,” Volker said.

He added that he plans to come to the Donbass in the near future. The date of the visit has not yet been named.

While Volker accuses Russia of aggression, the Ukrainian army has brought two mortar batteries to the contact line in the Donbass. As the official representative of the People’s Militia of the Lugansk People’s Republic, Andrei Marochko said, Ukraine does not stop violating the Minsk agreements.
