EAST GHOUTA, Syria – Units from the Syrian Army recently liberated the East Ghouta town of Saqba.
This comes as the battle for entirety of the East Ghouta region, to the east of Damascus city center, continues on Tuesday.
Drone footage from the recently liberated Saqba shows the effects of war on the district.
Fighting has now moved on to Hazeh, where smoke can be rising in the distance. If Hazeh is liberated, this will mean the Syrian Army are in a prime position to strike the imperative towns of Jobar and Irbin.
East Ghouta has been under control of terrorist forces since 2012. Its liberation would represent a major victory for the Syrian Government’s forces.
