Britain refuses all contact with Russia in the Skripal case at all levels, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a briefing on Wednesday.

“The United Kingdom officially and even publicly refuses any contact with Russia in the investigation of the Skripal case,” Zakharova said. “It does everything to ensure that the public’s perception of this situation was just such that the Russian side refuses to cooperate,” she added.

Relations between Russia and Britain sharply escalated against the backdrop of the incident in the British Salisbury, where ex-colonel of the GRU reserve, Sergei Skripal, who worked for the British special services, was poisoned with a nerve agent.

Britain repeatedly stated that it was proven the substance came from Russia – until Porton Down laboratory denied that the source of the nerve agent was never established.
