Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan has discussed the US attacks on Syria with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, the Turkish president’s press service.
“Our President today spoke on the phone with the Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel. The two sides exchanged views on bilateral relations and regional issues, touched upon the operation conducted by the United States, Great Britain and France after the use of chemical weapons by the Damascus regime. The leaders stressed the need to preserve the territorial integrity of Syria and take concrete steps aimed at ensuring the progress of a political settlement process in this country, ” the source said.
The United States, Britain and France attacked Syrian government facilities on Saturday morning, which they believe are used to produce chemical weapons.
