Germany refuses to join possible US intervention in Syria
Germany will not participate in a possible military operation in Syria. Such a statement was made by German Chancellor Angela Merkel at a press conference with Danish Prime Minister Lars Lecke Rasmussen.
“Germany will not take part in the possible operation – I want to emphasize – military action,” declared the German chancellor.
Merkel also stressed that she supports the efforts of the West, but she urged the Western countries to act in proper coordination of responding to the alleged chemical attack in Syria.

Earlier, British Prime Minister Teresa May, during a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump, announced that London too needed more evidence of a suspected chemical attack in Syria to join the US operation.
