TEHRAN, Iran – Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has urged Muslims across the world to not hesitate and to “stand up against the bullying America and the rest of the world’s arrogant powers” at the 35th International Holy Quran Contest in Tehran on Thursday.

He also praised the achievements of the Muslims in this respect saying “We have grown stronger roots, to the surprise of those who wanted to eradicate the Islamic Republic.”

“We grew stronger and more powerful and made more headway, to their surprise,” he added.

Islamic unity remains unlikely as some states such as Saudi Arabia would rather serve imperialist interests and attack Muslim-majority states like Syria and Yemen.
