DAMASCUS, Syria – ISIS defenses completely collapsed in the western portion of the South Damascus pocket controlled by the terrorist group after a powerful assault by the Syrian Army and their Palestinian militia allies.
This powerful assault by pro-government forces saw them liberate the suburbs of Al-Madaniyah, Al-Asali, and Al-Jorah.
The mass collapse resulted in ISIS withdrawing to the Palestinian Al-Yarmouk Camp and the Hajjar al-Aswad district.
It is expected that they will provide stiff resistance in these areas where they will consolidate their forces and defenses.
South Damascus remains the only area in the immediate vicinity of the capital that is still in terrorist hands.
