NATO calls on all members of the UN Security Council to confirm their duty in finding a political solution to the conflict in Syria, said Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance Jens Stoltenberg after a session in Brussels. At this meeting, the United States, Britain and France informed the allies on the military operations against Syria. Russia and all those who support the Syrian regime, called for constructive participation in the Geneva process.
In addition, Stoltenberg confirmed that Britain, the United States and France provided NATO with much information on chemical weapons in Syria, the alliance has no reason to doubt their assessment.
France together with the United Kingdom and the United States intends to submit a draft resolution of the UN Security Council to ensure a political transition in Syria, said France’s Permanent Representative to the Organization, Francois Delatra.
