The Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill held an urgernt telephone conversation with Pope Francis. The head of the Orthodox Church and the head of the Roman Catholic Church exchanged views on the aggression of the United States, France and Britain against Syria.
According to Patriarch Kirill, Christians can not stand aside. The parties expressed the desire to continue the peacekeeping dialogue, in order, to ultimately, stop the bloodshed.
The Primate later discussed with all the patriarchs of the Middle East the possibility of influencing the situation in Syria and how they could proceed.
