The British Embassy in Moscow has reassured Russians that they will not have any problems with visiting Britain and additional checks at airports should be minimal.
“We would like to assure the residents of Russia that there are no problems with visiting the UK, as always, we are very pleased with Russians who come to the United Kingdom for tourism, training or business,” reads the video posted on the embassy page on Facebook .
“Additional checks for those coming from Russia, introduced at airports, will not affect most travelers. The UK continues to welcome friendly relations between our peoples, ” it also notes.
Last Friday the British police and customs, without explanation of the reasons, carried out an inspection of an Aeroflot airplane in a London airport. Later, Deputy Interior Minister Ben Wallace said that the inspection was carried out in the framework of standard procedures to protect against organized crime and the smuggling of weapons, drugs or prohibited substances.
Relations between Russia and Britain sharply deteriorated against the backdrop of the incident in the British Salisbury.
