Right-wing German political party propose sanctions for countries that persecute Christian minorities
BERLIN, Germany – The far-right AfD fraction brought a debate to the floor of the Bundestag in Berlin on Thursday on the issue of the persecution of Christians around the world.
One AfD member, Juergen Braun, outlined their proposal for sanctions against nations that were deemed to be persecuting Christian religious minorities.
“We would like to, for example, decrease development aid, and to do away with trade privileges for states that are persecutors [of Christians],” Braun said.
Braun however did not cite any states that persecute Christians.
