Russia threatens to take Britain to “The Hague”

The Russian Federation has enough tools to call Britain to account for accusations against Moscow in the Skripal case, said Russia’s permanent representative to the OSCE Alexander Lukashevich.

“Of course, we have more than enough arguments and tools to call the British to account – these things should be discussed in specialized formats, such as in The Hague, through bilateral channels and so on,” Lukashevich told reporters on the sidelines of the Moscow Security Conference. “The Hague” refers broadly to a number of international tribunals located there.

“If we depart from international legal norms and start simply throw accusations around, this will lead to very serious consequences. Therefore, if we want to get clarity, and we want to prove that we are right, that this is a provocation – this is what we need to do.” – he added
