“Saratov Airlines” is asked to stop flying – Russian Civil Aviation Authority
Rosaviatsiya (Russia’s Civil Aviation Agency) has asked “Saratov Airlines” to voluntarily stop aviation activities.
The letter from the head of the department, Alexander Neradko, addressed to the airline’s general director Alexei Vakhromeev, asks for the removal of the operator’s certificate, following the disaster of the An-148 on February 11. “There is an indication of the inadequate state of the organization and lack of control by management.”
Taking into account the unprecedented, irresponsible attitude of the management of Saratov Airlines to safety issues, Alexander Neradko proposed for the airline to cease flying and focus exclusively on airport management activities [in the city of Saratov.]
