Kiev. Ukraine is ready to provide a corridor for the safe withdrawal of Russian troops out of the Transnistrian Moldavian Republic, said Kryzhanovski, Ukraine’s special representative for the Transdniestrian settlement.
At the same time, Kryzhanovskiy stressed that Russia appears to have no readiness to withdraw its troops.
Ambassador of Moldova to Ukraine Bolbochan stressed that official Chisinau insists on the withdrawal of Russian troops in accordance with international obligations previously taken by Russia.
Earlier, the Ukrainian ambassador to Moldova Gnatishin said that the Russian peacekeepers deployed in Transnistria and their weapons pose a threat to Ukraine.
On July 21 last year, the Moldovan parliament adopted a declaration demanding the withdrawal of Russian troops from the territory of Transnistria. 61 deputies voted for the corresponding document.
On September 11, Igor Dodon cited the ways out of the Transnistrian conflict. According to him, the Transnistrian issue can in fact be resolved only after the elections to the Moldovan parliament in 2018.
