The UK calls to convene a meeting of the Executive Council of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) and the UN Security Council, the British Embassy in Russia reports.
The message says that such measures are taken as a reaction to Moscow’s “violation” of chemical weapons convention.
“It is necessary to hold Russia accountable for the violation of the CWC, and the UK convened a meeting of the OPCW and the UN Security Council to do this,” they said.
After the attempted poisoning of Sergey and Yulia Skripal in the British Salisbury, more than 20 countries announced the expulsion of Russian diplomats. Moscow demanded evidence of involvement, but it was never provided.
The OPCW published a report on April 12 in which it confirmed that the Skripals were poisoned with a nerve agent. It would not name substance.
