Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Pavel Klimkin, will attend the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Group of Seven (G7) in Canada.
According to the Ukrainian ambassador to Canada, Andriy Shevchenko, this will be the first time that officially Kiev participates in the G7 event.
“The time has come for serious, strategic decisions on Ukraine and Russia, and how to appeal to the world on the international agenda. We are glad that Ukraine will be able to join the difficult but critically needed conversation and look forward to making a valuable contribution to future joint decisions ” , – he said.

The invitation to Klimkin was sent by the Canadian Foreign Minister. The head of the diplomatic mission revealed that all the other Ministers supported the initiative.
The G7 summit will begin on April 22 in Toronto.
