WASHINGTON, The United States of America – US President Donald Trump and French counterpart Emmanuel Macron took their bromance to new heights at a bilateral meeting in the White House Oval Office on Tuesday.
In a light moment showing the two leaders growing fondness, Trump brushed dandruff from the shoulder of Macron, saying, “In fact, I’ll get that little piece of dandruff off.”
“We have to make him perfect. He is perfect. So, it is, it is really great to be with you and you are a special friend,” he said.
Such affection and intimacy glosses over growing tensions between the United States and its ‘oldest ally’ France over issues like the Iranian nuclear deal, continued intervention in Syria and a possible trade war.
