Ukrainian security forces have violated the cease-fire regime in the Donbass 27 times over the past day, as stated by the Donetsk People’s Republic in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination for the Ceasefire.

The new Easter truce came into force in the Donbass on March 30, but the parties to the conflict accuse each other of shelling.  “Over the past 24 hours, the total number of violations by the Kiev side is 27 times,” they said.

Ukrainian security forces have fired more than 10 mines and artillery shells, as well as from grenade launchers,  infantry fighting vehicles and small arms. As a result of the shelling, the village of Shirokaya Balka lost electricity. “The total number of ammunition used by the APU is 591 units,” the representative of the People’s Democratic Republic said.

Representatives of the operation of the Ukrainian United Forces (OOS), in turn, announced 24 bombardments of their positions in the Donbass for the day.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on Monday, April 30, signed a decree on the end of the anti-terrorist operation in the Donbass, which lasted more than four years. Instead, the operation of the United forces of Ukraine has begun. According to Kiev, the previous format of the operation has exhausted itself. Now the leadership of the military operation passes from the Security Service of Ukraine directly to the military.

The Donbass republics expect a new offensive around May 7th (Putin’s inauguration) or May 9th (Victory Day.)
