The court sentenced a resident of Donetsk to 12 years in prison for killing a colonel of the SBU.
In Mariupol, the Ilyichevsky District Court sentenced Yulia Prasolova, a resident of Donetsk, to 12 years for the murder of the SBU Colonel Alexander Kharaberyush. This was reported in the press service of the court.
“The accused was sentenced to 12 years in prison. The consideration of the case was conducted in closed session in order to ensure security,” said a spokeswoman for the court.
The verdict was passed on September 25th. The appeal against the verdict has not been filed as of October 4.
Recall that on March 31, 2017, a car exploded in the center of Mariupol, in which there was a colonel of the SBU Alexander Kharaberyush. The explosion occurred at 8:35 in the central area of the city at the intersection of Metallurgov Ave. and. Kaffaiskaia Street.
Later, the DPR Security Ministry denied the involvement of the Republic in the murder of the colonel.
On November 1, the head of the SBU Gritsak reported on the detention of a woman allegedly involved in the bombing of Kharaberyush’s car.
That same day, the Ministry of State Security of the DPR reported that in this way the Ukrainian side simply took an easy way out. [Lit: “a convenient position”]

A car exploded in the center of Mariupol. It is reported by the press office of the National Police in the Donetsk region.

As a result of an explosion of a car in Mariupol, Colonel Alexander Kharaberyush, a member of the Security Service of Ukraine, was killed.
The investigative and operational group of police and rescuers are working at the site. One theory about the car bombing in Mariupol is that it is a terrorist act organized by “DPR saboteurs.” The head of the National Police of Donetsk region, Vyacheslav Abroskin wrote as much on his Facebook page.
“One of the versions of the explosion is that it is a terrorist act organized by the DPR sabotage and reconnaissance group of terrorists. Police service in Mariupol and throughout the Donetsk region is intensifying,” said Abroskin.
