Major: U.S to Evacuate all State Department Personnel from Syria within 24 Hours

WASHINGTON D.C – The United States reportedly intends to evacuate all employees of the country’s State Department from Syria within 24 hours. On December 19th this was reported by the pro-American corporate news business, Reuters .

It is noted in their report that within 60–100 days, the United States will also withdraw its troops from the territory of Syria, as it moves to the “next stage of the campaign.”

Earlier, on December 19th, the White House announced a new phase of the military campaign in Syria and the withdrawal of troops from the country . This was reported by the press secretary of the White House, Sarah Sanders. According to her, five years ago ISIS was a very powerful and dangerous force in the Middle East, but the United States managed to destroy their territorial caliphate.

On the same day Donald Trump, announced that the United States military was fulfilling its only task – defeating ISIS.

The departure of U.S state department personnel in Syria comes at face value as a welcome sign. Trump’s words indicate that if ISIS is defeated, then the U.S has no business or interest in Syria. If true, this 180 on U.S policy on Syria could well be a reflection of the actual state of the U.S campaign in Syria.

On the other hand, it is difficult to determine the state of the power-struggle underway within the U.S. White House efforts can rebuffed by numerous other institutions representing varied interests of the power-elite. Furthermore, the Trump himself may be involved in some strategic maneuver with these declarations, which are aimed towards the profitable resolution of the present intra-elite conflict within the U.S.
