Published 2019-06-19 22:27:36 by Paul Antonopoulos in Headline-News, Latin-America, Venezuela

CARACAS – Maduro said earlier that Colombia and the United States were conspiring to kill him, which both countries denied. An alleged defector revealed in March that the drones were bought in the US and taken to Colombia before the attack, reports the website Noticiero Digital. As the portal indicates, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro blamed a leading opposition figure for stealing a large sum to kill him in August last year, an operation that failed. “Today we know how the killing attempt was prepared in Colombia [and] who financed it,” Maduro said at a military ceremony in Caracas on Monday…. In bizarre turn of events, Ukrainian Schismatic Philaret accurately denounces Schismatic Dumenko

Published 2019-06-19 19:27:21 by Guest Author in Eurasia, Headline-News, Ukraine

KIEV – As “Patriarch” Philaret Denisenko continues to prepare for the Local Council of the “Kiev Patriarchate” (KP) to be held in Kiev on Thursday, the self-interested schismatic has stepped up the level of his rhetoric, calling into question the status of the “Orthodox Church of Ukraine” (OCU) and its primate “Metropolitan” Epiphany Dumenko. Philaret has spoken about his displeasure with both the terms dictated in the OCU’s tomos of autocephaly by the Patriarchate of Constantinople and his status as simple diocesan bishop many times, though he only recently declared that he fully rejects the tomos granted by Constantinople on January 6…. Thomas Römer in Anti-Spiegel (Translator note:  I began my study of Russian 12 years ago, and though I regularly watch Vesti, I confess that my Russian is simply not good enough to translate direct from hearing. German, however, is a different story: I passed the Graduate Exam in German 54 years ago. So, for me to bring this to FRN readers at all, I resort, thankfully, to Thomas Römer’s German rendering) The Russian television about the incident in the Gulf of Oman In the Russian broadcast “News of the Week” Russian television has dealt in detail with the incident in the Gulf… Continue ->

FLORES: Strelkov the traitor Accused of MH17 Downing? FRN’s not taking the bait

Published 2019-06-19 16:05:47 by Joaquin Flores in Eurasia, Headline-News, Nato, Opinions, Russia

The prosecutor’s office in the  Netherlands has filed more charges against Igor Girkin, aka ‘Strelkov’, among others, for the downing of the MH17. As we already know  beyond any reasonable doubt that the MH17 was downed by a Ukrainian jet and not a Russian or Ukrainian BUK, by accident or otherwise, the accusation against Girkin is, on the face of it, false. That said, there is more here than meets the eye, and the filing of these charges by the Netherlands appears more like a NATO subversion project than it does have to do with pinning some blame on just… Continue ->

Chinese media names Russian technology that is a ‘headache’ for the Pentagon

Published 2019-06-19 14:54:43 by Paul Antonopoulos in Anglo-5, Defense, Eurasia, Headline-News, Russia, United-States

MOSCOW – According to a recently published article, Russian jamming devices can neutralize American GPS receivers by putting this system out of service. According to the Chinese portal Sina, these jammers have become a real “headache” for the US. Russian gadgets can paralyze Pentagon GPS systems, so the US suffers “defeat after defeat.” The lack of GPS signal significantly reduces the effectiveness of the weapons and results in wasted ammunition, explains the author of the article. Because of this, Washington has begun to elaborate interference-resistant GPS equipment. At the moment the first generation of these equipment is being produced, but… Continue ->

The two Canadian Navy ships, the HMCS Regina frigate and supply vessel MV Asterix, in solidarity with the United States and France, and in opposition to China, as well as guided by what they explained as ‘international shipping standards’, made a passage through the Taiwan Strait on June 18. In early June, The New York Times reported that Germany was considering the possibility of sending a warship to the Taiwan Strait for the same geopolitical reasons – containment of China and opposition to China’s policy of ‘One China’.
