MOSCOW/HELSINKI – To understand Russia is what Finnish President Sauli Niinistö confessed he tried to do on August 22, at the meeting with the Vladimir Putin. The negotiations were held in Helsinki. They were dedicated to Russia’s cooperation with Finland and the EU as a whole, as well as global security against the background of the recent US missile tests. Published 2019-08-26 17:30:00 by Paul Antonopoulos in Headline-News, Iran, Iraq, Mena, Syria

TEHRAN – Iranian authorities proposed to reopen the Kirkuk-Baniyas pipeline that runs through Iraq. It would be a crucial element in the creation of an oil supply system to Europe independent of the US, experts say. Iran proposed to Iraq a project to reopen the pipeline to the Syrian port of Baniyas, in the Mediterranean Sea, to “circumvent US sanctions and not use the Strait of Hormuz, as there are increasing fears about its closure in case of clashes military between the United States and its allies against Iran,” the Iraqi television channel Al-Sumaria reported. For a long time, a… Continue ->

TEHRAN – Iranian government body leader said the US and Israel are not able to attack their positions after Israel said it had attacked Iranian targets in Syria. Israeli military officials said their forces attacked Iranian targets early on Saturday south of Damascus. However, the statement was rejected by Mohsen Rezaee, president of Iran’s Council of Discernment. “The US and Israel are not able to attack Iran’s centers and positions. The Israeli statement that our positions have become their target is a lie. Our consultation centers have not been damaged,” Rezaee said in an interview with ILNA. In addition, the… Continue ->

Published 2019-08-26 15:40:51 by Drago Bosnic in Anglo-5, Defense, Denmark, Eu, Eurasia, Headline-News, Nato, Politics, United-States

WASHINGTON, D.C./COPENHAGEN – Denmark will increase its military presence in the Arctic in case Trump begins to independently negotiate with Greenland. The kingdom’s Minister of Defense Trine Bramsen reacted to a business proposal from Washington in her own way. A few hours later, Trump replied to the Danish prime minister on Twitter to the effect of “okay, that’s your choice” and canceled the scheduled visit to Copenhagen. In order to deter Russia in the Arctic, the American President intends to buy Greenland with all its population of a little over 50,000 people. However, Denmark finds the proposal preposterous, so Donald… Continue ->

Would the end of the dollar era threaten American hegemony?

Published 2019-08-26 13:30:37 by Paul Antonopoulos in Anglo-5, Finance, Headline-News, United-States

WASHINGTON DC – Cryptocurrencies and national currencies are real threats to the dollar’s hegemony in international financial transactions, experts say. After World War II, national leaders gathered at what was called the Bretton Woods conferences. With Europe devastated and the urgent need to reorganize the business world, the US dollar has been established as the world currency and the basis for business and financial transactions. The US and the dollar Even with the end of dollar convertibility into gold in the 1970s, the US currency continues to have world currency status. While the dollar facilitated negotiations, it gave the United… Continue ->

MOSCOW – The most mysterious diplomatic paper of the 20th century was shown to the general public for the first time today in Moscow. It’s the original of the classified protocol of the German-Soviet Non-Aggression Pact. This is one of the hundreds of exhibits displayed at the exhibition dedicated to the beginning of WWII. The declassified documents finally shed light to what really happened at the time of early stages of the Second World War. Western historiography was always keen on exploiting the German-Soviet Non-Aggression Pact as a political weapon with the purpose of discrediting the Soviet Union (and later… Continue ->

No Middle East fit for Israel’s wishes

Published 2019-08-26 11:15:31 by Guest Author in Anglo-5, Defense, Eurasia, Headline-News, Iran, Iraq, Isis, Israel, Ksa, Lebanon, Mena, Russia, Syria, United-States

By Vladimir Gujanicic, Jul 10, 2018 – The nuclear deal is cancelled, Iranians proclaimed that they restarted enrichment of uranium. Some countries continue to provide support to the deal, but some like US and Israel are strongly against it. The simple view on this matter almost always misses the real point. The nuclear program never was the reason, but excuse. The real reason is the New Middle East and its evolution. Now, after 7 years of bloody war, the shaping of the new Middle East is visible. The Iraqi army and PMU units totally annihilated  ISIL as a conventional force… Continue ->

Albanian Nazism, PART I: Hitler walks free in occupied ‘Kosovo’

Published 2019-08-26 10:15:39 by Guest Author in Albania, Crime, Eu, Eurasia, Germany, Headline-News, Kosovo, Nato, Politics, Serbia, Yugoslavia

If you thought that so-called Greater Albania (the idea originated in the 19th century) is an abomination, you’d be surprised to learn that its first implementation is even more sinister, going back to the darkest times of modern history. Its instigator was none other than Nazi Germany. The idea came to fruition during WW2 and Albanians themselves see the defeat of Nazi Germany as their own personal tragedy. FRN Editorial Board By Grey Carter – ”It is easy to identify with Hitler because we have common enemies – the Serbs.” At the stadium in the southern ( Albanian) part of… Continue ->

Israel Now Visibly in the Mix?

Published 2019-08-26 09:00:30 by Guest Author in Headline-News, Iraq, Isis, Israel, Mena, Opinions, Syria

By Steve Brown   Take it as given that Israel tends to operate behind the scenes and would prefer to influence affairs covertly rather than overtly, so when Israel admits to resuming air strikes vs Syria and Iraq that’s worth a look.  Israel has resumed air strikes on Syria and Iraq, claiming to strike Iranian military emplacements in both countries. Perhaps significantly, the Israeli strikes have resumed just subsequent to serious setbacks for terrorist militias in Idlib and Hama; where Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, Ahrar al Sham, al Nusra, the NLF, and many other terrorist groups are based and backed by… Continue ->

Latin American Shockwaves Bring the New Silk Road Into the Americas

Published 2019-08-26 06:57:02 by Matthew Ehret in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Color-Revolution, Ecuador, Headline-News, Honduras, Latin-America, Mexico, Nicaragua, Opinions, Peru, United-States, Venezuela

Over the past several years Latin America has become a strategic battleground which involves much more than merely “geopolitical power plays” between the USA vs China as many commentators are asserting. Of course this is not to say that there are no geopolitical battles occurring. The entire western sponsored regime change operation in Venezuela couldn’t be understood unless one realized that China and Russia see Venezuela as a strategic ally in the Americas and a future zone for Belt and Road projects which are sweeping across the world… but something more is happening. Over the past three years, over 17 Latin American… Continue ->
