Published 2019-10-02 19:09:58 by Matthew Ehret in Anglo-5, United-States

Amidst the media headlines that we are living through “the scandal of the century” over President Trump’s alleged intention to get to the bottom of Joe Biden’s illegal activities in the Ukrainian natural gas sector an impeachment probe has been unveiled by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and led by the same growling pack of deep state hacks like Adam Schiff who failed at their previous attempts to prove that their last “scandal of the century” when Robert Mueller’s Russia probe turned into a goose egg. Published 2019-10-02 17:30:13 by Paul Antonopoulos in Anglo-5, Brazil, China, Eurasia, Headline-News, Latin-America, United-States

BRASILIA – As Huawei is pioneering the next-generation of telecommunications, specifically 5G technology which will bring faster internet, support autonomous cars and other futuristic applications, it has been targeted by the United States in its trade war with China and has become a politically sensitive issue. The U.S. argues that its allies, including the Latin American Giant country Brazil, should not use products from the Chinese giant under so-called security claims. In mid-May, the U.S. Treasury Department blacklisted Huawei and its subsidiaries for allegedly threatening national security, which has since prevented the Chinese company from buying components from U.S. manufacturers…. Any upcoming Greece-Turkey armed conflict will determine the energy future of both countries

Published 2019-10-02 16:30:16 by Paul Antonopoulos in Eurasia, Greece-Eurasia, Headline-News, Turkey

The Eastern Mediterranean is rapidly evolving into an El Dorado energy. Gas reserves in the Cypriot Exclusive Enonomic Zone (EEZ) and adjacent to Israel and Egypt have created a new backdrop in the region. Seeing Turkey lose the energy game, Ankara demands a fateful share in the reserves for both the pseudo-state and itself. Relying on its well-known “diplomacy” of weapons does not seem to recede and the next period is seen as particularly critical in the light of recent developments. Geological studies carried out over the years by various international bodies have provided strong evidence, to the degree of… Continue ->

MAJOR: Sweden reopens gigantic underground base for “fear” of Russia

FLORES: Will the ECHR Determine That Russia Occupies Crimea? Ukraine’s Bungled Attempt Stands to Massively Backfire

Published 2019-10-02 12:40:28 by Joaquin Flores in Anglo-5, Eu, Eurasia, Headline-News, Opinions, Russia, Ukraine, United-States

By Joaquin Flores, originally published at SCF Ukraine has filed a problematic complaint through the European Court of Human Rights against Russia, alleging violations of the human rights of both individual citizens, and violations against the Crimean Tatar minority on the whole. But how they’ve gone about it, may require the commission to determine – whether overtly or de facto – whether Russia’s control over Crimea is illegal. This raises serious questions about the admissibility of the claims themselves, and create a procedural headache for the ECHR. Meanwhile, the backdrop is that the ECHR understands the importance of Russia’s membership… Continue ->
