DAMASCUS – The World Food Programme (WFP) announced that more than 70,000 people have already fled the escalating violence since Turkey launched its military operation into northern Syria on Wednesday. The mass displacement occurred in the Al-Hasake and Al-Raqqa provinces, a spokesman for the United Nations’ agency said in Geneva, reminding the warring parties that the UN requires access to 650,000 people in northeast Syria who rely on food aid. Turkey stepped up its air and artillery strikes on Kurdish militia in northeast Syria on Friday on the third day of a military operation against Kurds, escalating an offensive that… Continue ->

V.I. Vernadsky and the American System in Russia
Published 2019-10-11 21:53:22 by Matthew Ehret in Headline-News, Russia, Science, United-States
In recent years, Russia has lept ahead of all expectations by not only regaining those scientific and technological capacities which it had lost during the rape of Perestroika during the dark period of the 1990s, but with President Putin’s unveiling of new plasma-based and supersonic weapons that render the NATO-led doctrine of Full Spectrum dominance (relatively) obsolete, the nation has become a world leader on the frontiers of advanced science once more. Since a friendship among Russia and the United States is infinitely preferable to an unwinnable nuclear war, it fitting that a brief review of Russia’s industrial/scientific origins occur… Continue ->

Who Is Behind UN’s Worst Crisis
Published 2019-10-11 21:30:06 by Drago Bosnic in Anglo-5, Finance, Headline-News, Politics, United-States
New York, USA- The United Nations is facing its worst cash crisis in nearly a decade because almost one-third of its member states have not paid their annual dues, according to Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. Guterres says the situation is so desperate that last month’s General Assembly in New York was only possible because of emergency spending cuts made earlier in the year. The UN says while 129 member states have paid their dues for the organization’s 2019 budget 64 others are still required to pay “urgently and in full.” It says there is an outstanding amount of $1.3 billion for… Continue ->

By: Hanne Nabintu Herland, historian of religions, best selling author and founder of The Herland Report. www.theherlandreport.com Simply by pulling forces out of Syria, the work to end the North Korean crisis, the efforts to end the Kashmir crisis, president Donald Trump is a far more worthy Nobel Peace Prize winner than Obama ever was. He received the Nobel in the midst of escalating the war in Afghanistan, days after taking office. It was a scandal and a strong signal that the Norwegian Nobel Committee is politically rigged. Obama had done nothing to fulfill the Alfred Nobel requirements for the… Continue ->

With Argentine elections taking place on October 27, President Mauricio Macri is now making desperate attempts to win the elections as his popularity continues to plummet. While holding a rally in the city of Tucumán, the neoliberal president was thrilled with the presence of a woman celebrating her birthday at his rally. He then decided to kiss the elector’s foot. With the social and political chaos of Argentina, Macri is literally taking any measure to continue to lead a country whose economy continues to suffer. The 72-year-old Manuela lost her shoe when she was taken to the stage. “Oh, it’s… Continue ->
