Raqqa, Syria – Russian military police have managed to take over another base that was recently abandoned by the United States in northern Syria, TASS news agency reported on Thursday, December 26. Published 2019-12-31 11:00:20 by Guest Author in Anglo-5, Color-Revolution, Eurasia, Headline-News, Isis, Mena, Nato, Politics, Syria, Turkey, United-States

By Steve Brown – US outrage regarding the Syrian Arab Army’s advance in Idlib – where the SAA attempted to clear the province of US/Turk-sponsored Tahrir al-Sham and Turk-backed terrorists –  caused the United States to re-supply Ankara with a large cargo of weaponry yesterday, to support a flanking operation by the Syrian National Army (Turkmen) around Talmenes and Maaret Al-Nouman.   Beginning in November, provocations and violations of the province’s cease-fire agreement by Tahrir al-Sham and Turkish-backed SNA terrorists resulted in a Syrian response.  Coming off the Astana talks, which largely ignored the remaining Idlib terror element, Erdogan apparently mistook… Continue ->

Two faithful were also injured trying to protect His Grace. Despite his injuries, Bp. Metodije has called on the faithful to remain calm and peaceful. “I feel better and I’ve returned to my duties,” the Serbian hierarch said. “I want to say that I don’t condemn the police. GEORGE ADES: Why doesn’t Russia save the world and fix every problem?

Published 2019-12-31 07:45:21 by Joaquin Flores in Eurasia, Headline-News, Opinions, Russia

By George Ades Time and again I get comments asking: “why doesn’t Russia do this” or “NATO do that”? Etc. What needs to borne in mind is that in the “game” of geopolitics there are certain delicate balances that need to be preserved in order to avoid a major war between the superpowers of the east and west, or at the very least to maintain vital communication lines open. Another thing that needs to be understood is that no superpower is all good or all evil. “Interests” are what dictate a super power’s actions and although some may have principals… Continue ->

By Steve Brown – Sensing a power vacuum in Washington, Europe, and Tel Aviv along with the weakness of North African regimes – and emboldened by his own hubris – Erdogan has promised military boots on the ground in Libya as first reported in Can Recep the Magnificent Sort Out Libya on December 18th.     The Second Libyan War is being fought between the United Nations-recognized Government of National Accord (Tripolitania) or GNA in the west, versus Khalifa Belqasim Haftar’s Libyan National Army or LNA of the east (Tobruk – Cyrenaica) where both factions are largely supported by Libyan oil production,… Continue ->

Published 2019-12-31 03:00:08 by Drago Bosnic in Anglo-5, China, Color-Revolution, Crime, Eurasia, Finance, Headline-News, Hong-Kong, Politics, United-States

Hong Kong, China – Hong Kong’s economy is on the path to face another contraction in the fourth quarter, the financial secretary warned as raging protests continue to take a toll on the city. “Judging from the situation in the past months, continued negative growth is unavoidable,” Financial Secretary Paul Chan Mo-Po said on Sunday. While the official economic results will be released only early next year, Chan could already cite some gloomy statistics. The city’s retail sales plunged 26 percent in October, while its once-booming tourist sector lost 50 percent of vacationers during the Christmas holidays. Tourist numbers have… Continue ->
