By Vladimir Gujanicic – “We lost our lead” was a sentence repeatedly uttered by Senator McCain during the last years of his life. Few people understood what he really wanted to say. A few years after that, it gradually became clear to everyone. Breakdown of the patterns of interventions by America and its allies in Syria, and the Middle East in general, was a key moment, after which the very concept of American alliances began to disintegrate. Even after the first cruise missile strike approved by President Donald Trump, Turkish Foreign Minister Cavusoglu declared “Turkey is ready to follow America.”… Continue ->

BEIJING – Chinese giants Huawei and Oppo plan to create an alternative to Google mobile services and seek cooperation with Indian developers. Their success may spell an end to Android’s market domination in Asia, and possibly beyond. For now, the global dominance of the Google-owned Android mobile operating system (OS) may seem to be without a challenge. It comfortably holds a share amounting to a whopping 76 percent of the mobile OS market worldwide. But clouds are already gathering over the US company and, if it gets shoved out of a massive segment of the market, it will only have… Continue ->

Hong Kong, China – Only 17 percent of Hong Kong residents are in favor of seeking independence from China and almost half blame the city government for civil unrest, rather than the government in Beijing, a new poll showed. Putin Reminds the West: Those Who Ignore History Are Doomed to Repeat it

Published 2020-01-02 04:42:23 by Matthew Ehret in Anglo-5, Defense, Headline-News, Russia, United-Kingdom, United-States

President Putin recently stirred up a hornets nest by reminding the western nations of their own complicity in supporting the rise of Nazism long before the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact was signed on August 23, 1939. What was this hornets’ nest exactly? Between December 19 and 24, Putin responded on several occasions to the dangerous revival of fascism sweeping across Europe by calling out the Polish Ambassador to Germany Józef Lipski (1934-1939) as “scum and an anti-Semitic pig, there is no other way of describing him… He shared Hitler’s anti-Semitic sentiment and moreover, he promised to erect a monument in Warsaw for the… Continue ->
