LONDON – Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London rejected a plea from Julian Assange’s lawyers to release the WikiLeaks founder from the high-security Belmarsh prison on concerns for his health amid the coronavirus epidemic. Judge Vanessa Baraitser ruled that Assange should remain in prison, citing the lack of COVID-19 cases in the facility, RIA Novosti reported. Assange himself took part in the hearing via a video call for a couple of minutes. He agreed that the discussion of his release could continue without him. Barrister Edward Fitzgerald QC attended the hearing in person on behalf of the WikiLeaks publisher, who remains… Continue ->

RIYADH – Human Rights Watch (HRW) said Saudi forces and their allies have commited serious abuses against Yemeni civilians since June last year in al-Mahrah governorate. “Saudi forces and their Yemeni allies’ serious abuses against local-Mahrah residents is another horror to add to the list of the Saudi-led coalition’s unlawful conduct in Yemen,” Michael Page, deputy Middle East director at HRW, said on Wednesday, PressTV reported. “Saudi Arabia is severely harming its reputation with Yemenis when it carries out these abusive practices and holds no one accountable for them,” he added. When Russians Want to do Something Well, They Call Their Army

Published 2020-03-26 23:00:19 by Guest Author in Anglo-5, Eu, Eurasia, Headline-News, Italy, Japan, Nato, Politics, Russia, United-States

For the past three days, Russian military transport planes with medical specialists and aid on board have been landing at an air base near Rome to help Italy in the fight against the coronavirus outbreak. Critics immediately started looking for some ulterior motives behind Moscow’s move, describing it as just a political PR stunt, a demonstration to Europe of the Kremlin’s capabilities and its immunity to a global pandemic, completely oblivious of the fact that this unselfish gesture of goodwill is not the first in the history of Russia’s relations with the West. Suffice it to recall how, 75 years… Continue ->

Los Angeles, California – A severe shortage of gear that can protect healthcare workers from COVID-19 prompted Los Angeles County officials to advise doctors and nurses to reuse face masks and wear gowns and masks that are expired, a desperate attempt to conserve supplies amid the pandemic. In an urgent alert sent to providers on Wednesday, officials from the L.A. WASHINGTON, D.C. – US President Donald Trump said he would not let Boeing Co, one of the nation’s largest aircraft manufacturers, go out of business in the wake of the financial crisis caused in part by the COVID-19 outbreak. “We’re not letting Boeing go out of business,” Trump said in a Fox News interview. “You have to help them temporarily. It’s not going to be a long time, temporarily,” he added. Earlier in the month, Boeing confirmed it would seek financial aid from the government in the amount of $60 billion, according to The New York Times. In recent days,… Continue ->

Dear Editor: Coronavirus was modeled at Event 201 simulation at Bloomberg’s John Hopkins

The reader’s letter below appears to be referring to ‘Event 201’ – we are well aware of this but are under extraordinary censorship due to our exposure of US war crimes in Ukraine, Syria, Yemen, and Iraq, and have limited some references to this. While FRN was created by Americans, and has never received guidance, help, assistance, editorial oversight, or suggestions of any kind from Russia or Russian entities, there is an Atlanticist public disinformation campaign about FRN’s origins and purpose. The reader seems concerned that we haven’t called a spade a spade – yet. Well, we are happy to… Continue ->

Coronavirus as a test of faith and faithfulness to the Church

Published 2020-03-26 19:41:17 by Guest Author in Eurasia, Headline-News, Opinions, Russia, Serbia

By Archpriest Sergei Uspensky Photo: Archpriest Sergey Uspensky talks about faith, unbelief, God’s Providence, growing panic around coronavirus and the fate of all deacons.   More recently, the Orthodox of our country has been subjected to social persecution. The flow of slander and satanic malice, even if it is not so intense, still continues to pour out on our Mother Church. But it is no longer significant. Those who wanted to fall away have already fallen away, and the faith of those who have remained will not be shaken at all. Now it is time to test our faith… Continue ->

NEW NUMBERS – Biggest Unemployment Surge in American History

Published 2020-03-26 16:46:29 by Guest Author in Anglo-5, Headline-News, Opinions, United-States

By Michael Snyder The pace at which Americans are losing their jobs is absolutely breathtaking.  According to the Wall Street Journal, the largest number of new claims for unemployment benefits ever recorded in a single week prior to this year was 695,000 during the week that ended October 2nd, 1982.  So that means that what we are now witnessing is completely unprecedented.  About half the country is currently under some sort of a “shelter-in-place” order, and there has never been a nationwide shutdown of businesses anything like what we are currently experiencing. Many are hoping that America will be able to… Continue ->

ROME, [Russian Spring] – Over the past 24 hours in a major move, Russia has sent an unprecedented military humanitarian mission to Italy, a NATO country, which in its official press reports tactfully called “an operational group of military doctors, specialists in the field of virology and epidemiology, with modern equipment for diagnosis and disinfection.” The wording, which does not mention that these units are belonging of the Russians to the Armed Forces, was chosen from diplomatic considerations so as not to stoke NATO reactions when the real aim is to support Italians in trouble.   It’s no joke,… Continue ->

Why Did Hundreds Of CEOs Resign Just Before Coronavirus Outbreak?

Published 2020-03-26 01:02:24 by Guest Author in Anglo-5, Headline-News, United-States

By Michael Snyder – The Economic Collapse Blog In the months prior to the most ferocious stock market crash in history and the eruption of the biggest public health crisis of our generation, we witnessed the biggest exodus of corporate CEOs that we have ever seen. And as you will see below, corporate insiders also sold off billions of dollars worth of shares in their own companies just before the stock market imploded. In life, timing can be everything, and sometimes people simply get lucky. But it does seem odd that so many among the corporate elite would be so… Continue ->
