WASHINTON, D.C./BEIJING – The United States charged two hackers and accused the Chinese government of allegedly “sponsoring criminal breaches” of international biotech firms developing treatments and vaccinations for the novel coronavirus. Li Xiaoyu and Dong Jiazhi were both charged in an 11-count indictment that alleges the former engineering students “hacked computers” and “attempted to steal terabytes of data surrounding the coronavirus pandemic”, according to The Independent. The indictment said the two hackers “researched vulnerabilities in the networks of biotech and other firms publicly known for work on COVID-19 vaccines, treatments and testing technology”. MAJOR: UK Officially Admits Its Test And Trace Program is Unlawful, Breaches Citizens’ Privacy

LONDON – The UK government admitted its contact tracing program is unlawful in a legal letter which confirms it has been running in breach of data protection laws since it was launched in May. Confirmation the program failed to adhere to privacy regulations comes as Sky News can reveal that contractors working for NHS Test and Trace have been told they may be fired following reports of dozens of staff sharing patients’ confidential data on social media. OFFICIAL: USAF Buying Turkey’s F-35

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The US Air Force is officially purchasing 8 F-35 fifth-generation stealth fighter jets that were initially intended for Turkey prior to its removal from the Joint Strike Fighter program. In addition to F-35A’s built by Lockheed Martin for Turkey, the $862 million contract modification provides the aerospace manufacturer with an undetermined sum to reconfigure the jets in-line with US standards.
