Syria: Army Makes New Gains as Terrorists Keep Killing Each Other

Counter-terrorist operations in Syria are continuing in accordance with the schedule.

In Daraa province, units of the Syrian Army destroyed 8 vehicles and a command center, belonging to Al Nusra Front in the town of Al Naima, located in the eastern countryside of Daraa, in addition to elimination of scores of the terrorists. 5 cars, equipped with machine-guns, an SUV and two machine-guns on the road between Al Gharbiya and the electricity station were also destroyed in Darra Al Balad area.

As a result of their losses, the terrorist were once again putting pressure on civilians. 4 people, including two children, were wounded as a result of the mortars that fell on Hayy Al Kashef and Al Sabeel in Daraa.

More Al Nusra Front terrorists were killed during operations in the area between Kisin and Burj Qaee, located in the northern countryside of Homs province.

The army also killed 17 ISIS terrorists in the surrounding areas of the cemeteries and factories, international airport, Regiment 137 and Al Rishdya neighbourhood in the eastern province of Deir Ez Zour and foiled several ISIS infiltrations throughout the city of Deir Ez Zour. 

Aside from battling the army, the terrorists were also battling each other. Fierce clashes, which started yesterday after Jaish al-Islam suddenly raided positions of Al Rahman Brigade and Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham in Eastern Ghouta, continued today. Dozens of terrorists were killed, including two senior commanders. 

Jaish Al Islam is the biggest “rebel” group, fighting against the Syrian Army. According to the field reports, they are currently preparing for the mass assault on Al Rahman Brigade positions and bases in Zamalka and Aebeen.
