MAP UPDATE: Power night assault sees Syrian Army capture new towns in East Ghouta

EAST GHOUTA, Syria – The Syrian Army has made stunning progress overnight and liberated a host of new sites from terrorist forces in East Ghouta.

Included in their advance was reaching the outskirts of Mesraba and Beit Sawa, meaning there is only around 3 and a half kilometers left until the East Ghouta pocket is split into two portions.

Pro-Syrian government forces were also able to cut the crucial supply artillery by liberating a portion of the road that links Al-Shifuniyah with Douma.

The night assault also saw the Syrian Army liberate Al-Obb Orchards and the Al-Ash’ari Farms.
