Hidden tunnel network, underground hospitals uncovered in East Ghouta – VIDEO

EAST GHOUTA, Syria – Units of the Syrian Army discovered an underground tunnel network in East Ghouta, to the east of Damascus city center, on Monday according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

The underground network connected two underground field hospitals left behind by terrorist groups in the East Ghouta town of Arbeen.

These complex tunnel networks began in 2011 when the violent uprising against the Syrian government began.

Besides field hospitals they were also a way for terrorists to reach one town to another while avoiding detection and airstrikes.
